The coat of arms was conceived by my father. His great grandfather was a counter revolutionary against Napoleon III (the sword). He was also a baker, thus the pretzel. Finally, the bee is a pun. I designed the graphic using Corel Draw and had it engraved on a magnum bottle of wine for my father's eightieth birthday.
I live in Huntington Beach, California. Huntington Beach is south of Los Angeles, in Orange County. Although I live in a "beach" city, I am not along the waterfront. Still, the weather here never gets too cold or too hot.
For recreation, I enjoy photography, listening to jazz, playing golf, and going ocean sailing. I also bake sourdough bread. In fact, I once entered it in the Orange County Fair and won first place.
My wife, Susan, and I have two grown children, a dog, and two Maine Coon cats. Our garden is owned and defended by Allen's Hummingbirds.
Look in the Photo Album for pictures of these areas of interest.
I received a bachelors of science degree in Industrial Administration from Yale. (There was no computer sciences program when I went to Yale University. The "IA" degree let me combine studies in computers with actually getting a degree.)
After some years working I went back to school and obtained an MBA from the University of California at Irvine (I did this while working full time. My family hardly saw me those years.)
